IS PERMA-SNOW™ SOLD IN SMALL QUANTITIES?

We receive many enquiries for small quantities of the Perma-snow™ system, typically 4 square metres, which is one segment size (2m wide x 2 m long).

The price for this area of 4 sm is currently £275 (sterling) plus VAT & carriage in the UK. In other countries local import taxes will apply where these are applicable. If there are no taxes the cost will be £275 (sterling) and carriage at cost depending on the means of freight used.

The product sold is the Perma-snow™ 18/12 our most versatile and ideally suited to snowboarding.

Fixing could not be simpler. The system consists of a base material with a fixing tape glued to the product; fixing pins for fixing to the ground; and the Perma-snow™ skiing surface with a fixing tape to the underside. Fixing is firstly laying the base material on the ground with the taped side uppermost using the pins to fix it down. The upper surface is then overlaid to the sub-base surface making sure that the adhesion tapes match exactly. If you get it wrong simply peel away the upper surface from a corner by rolling the material inwards. The upper surface will peel easily if this method is used. Do not try to rip off the top material with an upward motion as this may detach the fixing tapes. Should a tape become loose it can be attached again with the appropriate glue (usually hot-melt). In all cases the under surface should be laid to a right-angle running from top to bottom. For the best results the ideal slope is 16-20 degrees of fall but it can be laid in whichever way you wish and to whatever fall is required. It can be wrapped over kicks, jumps or to curves. In the case of fixing to this type of apparatus, where the base surface is not earth or gravel but a plywood or similar, the method best suited to ensure a firm fix is with an industrial stapler. Fixing pins are only for use on a natural or manmade surface of earth, gravel or similar material.

Perma-snow™ is universally recognised as the best in dry ski slope surfaces for skiers or boarders - normal or extreme!

The underlay is manufactured and sold in 1 metre wide rolls. The upper surface is sold in segment form 2 metres wide by 2 metres long. The upper surface can be cut easily to form a 1 metre wide strip but the underside of the surface would need more fixing tape to allow it to match the pattern of tape on the underlay.
