Main Advantages for Dry Ski Slopes

Advantages for the user
Skiers and snowboarders alike experience a new 'like snow' sensation with the advantage of being safer than traditional dry ski slope materials. The feel, look, and noise of PERMA-SNOW™ makes it a surface that users want to use again and again.

Advantages for the dry ski slope owner
PERMA-SNOW™ was not only designed for the end user, but for maintenance as well. Instead of having to permanently fit the top layer of the slope to the ground PERMA-SNOW™ uses a secure taped system (Velcro or similar) that makes it easy to replace sections of the slope quickly. Also, the product does not rely on misting systems to give the surface the correct performance, making it less expensive to install and maintain.

For the varying ski slope
PERMA-SNOW™ comes in different pile densities and heights that can be used on different parts of the same slope. As the shape and angle of the slope change the surface characteristics of the slope can be designed to react differently - just like real snow.

Potential Insurance Premium Reduction It is known that the Insurance Companies are closely monitoring the use of 'Perma-snow™' as a skiing and boarding surface on slopes in the UK. The purpose behind this monitoring is to seek to reduce greatly the premiums currently being set against the operators of the centres throughout the UK. The way to achieve a premium reduction is to show that the new surface is safer and that there is a great reduction in claims for injury or damage to person, clothing and/or equipment. With ‘Perma-snow™’ as the skiing surface this can only be the case as the surface is cushioning through the surface loop system and the resilient underlay. There are no metal parts to dislodge a ski binding or catch the edge of a ski or board: there are no hard surfaces or a unforgiving diamond mesh to catch the thumb, hand, knee or elbow. In a fall – and they are bound to happen – your limbs will be cushioned from great harm allowing you to recover and continue with your lesson or open practice skiing or boarding. You will have greater confidence; greater practice; greater satisfaction; greater fun – and, most of all, you will feel great.
