A Simple and Friendly Solution

The PERMA-SNOW™ laying system is user friendly and, once laid, skier friendly. The only metal part of the system is the reinforced steel pin that anchors the sub-base to the ground. Above the sub-base there are no metal parts. The system is quick and easy to lay (no time at all!) and quick and easy to remove. The Enkadrain (or similar product) simply rolls out and is pinned to the ground. The attachment between each section of Enkadrain is secured with a taped hook and loop system (Velcro or similar) that is easily peeled apart should the laying not be suitable.

Once the sub-base is down, the PERMA-SNOW™ ski surface is overlaid and attached with a taped system (Velcro or similar) that can be peeled away easily for repairs, refitting or replacement.

The PERMA-SNOW™ skiing system is simple and customer friendly. However, in the event of a skier catching a loop with articles of loose clothing or loose equipment the looped filament will bleed. It is therefore critical that the management of a facility should ensure a user does not have articles of loose clothing or equipment, particularly, buckles or clips as these may catch in a loop. The PERMA-SNOW™ surface for safety reasons is designed to bleed (run) should a tugging force fail to release or be too great. Proper management should ensure a user is dressed safely and properly thereby avoiding damage to the surface unless in exceptional circumstances. (Claims for damage caused through the mismanagement of the facility or the misuse of the product will not be entertained).

In the event of a severely damaged section the replacement is simple - the looped carpet is cut away with a suitable knife (Stanley knife or similar) to the size of the damaged area and another prepared section is simply inserted. The two sections will meld together. Note:- The inserted ski surface must be of the size of the void and both the surface and base must be prepared with the hook and loop tape for adhesion. The replacement piece should be of the same structure as the original segment.

Over time the carpet backing may deteriorate due to adverse weather conditions or heavy usage. In such cases a repair service is provided at our factory. See our price list for details of cost.

The PERMA-SNOW™ system should always start from a right angle to ensure a square is maintained while laying the sub-base and the loop pile surface. It is strongly recommended that you employ a surveyor to set out the lines at a right angle before commencing.
